MANEB PSLCE 2025/2026 Results: Malawi 2025: Official Primary School Leaving Examination Results

Malawi, August 18, 2025 – The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has officially released the results of the 2025 Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLCE) and the Secondary Education Certificate (JCE).

According to the official statement, to qualify for the PSLCE, candidates must pass five subjects, including English.

Breakdown of PSLCE 2025 Results

  1. Overall performance
    Out of 247,958 candidates who sat for the examination, 216,972 passed. This represents a 87.50% pass rate nationwide.

  2. Male candidates
    From the 120,122 boys who sat for the exams, 108,843 passed. This equals a 90.61% pass rate, which is higher compared to female candidates.

  3. Female candidates
    Out of 127,836 girls, 108,129 passed. This represents a 84.56% pass rate, slightly lower than that of male candidates.

  4. Special Needs Education (SNE) candidates
    A total of 3,178 candidates with special needs sat for the exams, of which 2,385 passed. This is equivalent to a 75.05% pass rate.
